How my journey began

After college I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do. I’d studied Religion and Theology and heard about a prestigious teaching program, Teach First (Teach for America in the US). You know what they say, those that can’t… teach. I worked for two years as a Divinity and Geography teacher in an inner city school in London and the following year at a Jewish day school. Teaching made me miserable. I loved the kids, but the crazy expectations, poor support structures and lack of work/life balance really took a toll on my mental health. The breaking point came when my then supervisor told me I needed to choose between my job and my sense of self. I chose. I chose me. I left teaching at the end of that summer.

A few months later we moved to California for my husband’s work. When my Green Card came through I had to figure out what I wanted to do. I didn’t feel like I was qualified to do anything, but I was already up for the challenge. New country, new job, new me. I started looking for entry level tech roles and eventually landed my a role as a BDR at a small start up! Learning a whole new industry was overwhelming but also exhilarating! After a short while I realized sales wasn’t for me - but at the time I was selling an HR recruiting software. I’d met hundreds of recruiting professionals and I found their job fascinating! That’s what I wanted! I set about trying to make my dream happen. I did extensive research on how to get into recruiting and what companies would fit my values and needs. Within a couple of months I landed my first recruiting job as a Recruiting Coordinator at a company I was super excited about working for!

As much as I loved that first company my primary passion has always been mental health and wellness. When the opportunity came up to work for a mental health company recruiting their therapists and psychiatrists I couldn’t turn it down. Over time I gained experience in full cycle recruiting for a number of different roles. My favorite part of my job is making someones day by offering them their dream job! I love learning about people, their hopes and desires and helping them find the job for them.

In January 2023 I enrolled in the Headspace Training institute, a bespoke behavioral health coaching course. Through this course I’ve gained numerous skills in active listening, positive psychology, motivational interviewing and strength based coaching. This experience combined my background as a career changer and my experience and knowledge in the recruiting field led me to found Envisioned Growth Coaching. I’m so excited to help those on their journey to success, whether that is changing careers, figuring out your why, developing a deeper understanding of yourself or achieving a new milestone in your personal wellness - I can’t wait to help you achieve your goals!

Motivation comes from within — and I’m here to help you activate it.
